Modern Structural Systems & FrameCrete!

We’ve recently partnered with FRAMECRETE, a leader in autoclaved aerated concrete panels. That’s because more and more customers were asking for this green precast building material with an R-value of 2.3 (vs. Stucco 0.2 and Cement Board 0.3) and fast installation (700 ft. a day per 2-3-person crew). Panels are thin, lightweight, and steel reinforced, with a super smooth finish. They don’t sag, warp, deform or crack – and joints between panels remain invisible over time. No wonder they’re in high demand!

Easier to install. Lighter. More durable.

It’s easy to see why aircrete panels from FrameCrete can make for a superior construction system.

Solid

Panels hold heavy loads throughout. No need for blocking.

Fire Resistant

1 hour and 40 minutes fire-resistant.

Durable & Hassle-Free

Does not wear out with time. Maintenance free.

Water-Resistance

Low humidity absorption after 48 hours underwater. Does not demean. Does not form mold or nitre.

Acoustic Insulation

Reduces exterior and interior noise – from 28 to 32 STC.

Thermal Insulation

Interior comfort at extreme temperatures. 3R.

Energy Savings

Savings in energy bills vs. traditional materials. R-value 15 times higher than stucco.

What is Autoclaved Aerated Concrete?

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (also known as AAC or aircrete) is a precast green building material that’s been used globally for over 70 years. It’s used extensively in residential, commercial, and industrial construction, and is a well-established building material. Because of its superior characteristics, autoclaved aerated concrete has rapidly gained worldwide market share against conventional building materials. AAC is an eco-friendly building material made from sand (or fly ash), cement, lime, gypsum, aluminum powder, and water. It’s an aerated concrete that provides insulation, structure, and fire protection in a lightweight product.

FrameCrete offers two types of panels

Residential & Commercial Cladding

Light, prefabricated concrete, with a steel mesh inside and a super smooth exterior finish. Installed by applying adhesive mortar between mating faces and fasteners to attach the panels to a standard steel frame.

Two standard sizes available:

  • 4’ x 2’ (1.97” and 2.95” thicknesses available)
  • 7’ x 2’ (1.97” and 2.95” thicknesses available)

Advantages:

  • R-value: 2.3 vs. Stucco 0.2 and Cement Board 0.3
  • Fast installation: 700/ft. a day per 2–3-person crew
  • Thin, lightweight, and steel reinforced
  • Super smooth finish – great for savings on the finish coat
  • Does not sag, warp, deform or crack
  • Joints between panels remain invisible over time

Application:

  • Facades
  • Exterior walls

Weight:

  • 12 lbs./ft2

Industrial AAC Panels

Can be placed on any structure: masonry, wood, reinforced concrete, or metal. Designed in accordance with the recommendations of the American Concrete  Institute (ACI) Guide for Design and Construction with Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Panels.

Variable sizes available:

  • Up to 19.6’ x 2’ (4” to 12” thicknesses available)

Advantages:

  • Fast installation: 1,614/ft. a day per 2-person crew (panel placement, prior preparations must be made to receive panel)
  • Some applications may not require adhesive
  • Thermal, acoustic, and fire resistant
  • Comfortable, safe, and productive workspace

Application:

  • Perimeter walls
  • Fences

Weight:

  • 3 lbs./ft2 for 4” thick panels
